Oracle is delivered.....

Alsalam alikom wa ra7mat allah wabarakatoh,

Yesterday, we delivered two projects... and had one of our MID Term exams too... it was a very crowded day....e7l..

First we delivered the Algorithm project .... we worked hard in it... to make it looks mm proffessional... (and it's so e7l).. Abdalla (or should i say Dr.Abdalla :D ) discussed the project with us..... he knows that we understand dijkstra.. so he prefered to ask in the visualization part :D :D :D 3abdalla ba2a :D.... then the doctor came and asked us some mmmm small questions... then bye bye... el algo finished...

we had a gap of about 4 hours till Oracle Project delivery... so we prefered to enhance the project a little bit... when we discovered some errors (mm in 2 of the views i wrote) but e7l we managed to repair it... (actually if we couldn't, i'ld have been so sad cuz it was one of the main features (and new) we designed in the StocksMarket system).....
It's 2 pm now... when we should go to deliver but Oh no : : another error... e7l solved at about 3 pm.. now we went up.. we found Dr.Tayseer praying.... then she came to us looking so serious... she was angry cuz we were late.... actually we mis-unserstood her.. she said 2 pm we thought it's (the section that starts at 2pm and ends at 4pm) so we came at 3 pm (3adeeee) e7l e7l ba3d shwayet nekash ... and when she saw the documentation (that mostafa made) she was something relieved (the documentaion was so nice really masha2 allah) an assistant disscussed the project with us (fel saree3 keda) she didn't let us show her the powerful of the system (i really think it's :)) anyway... another assistant Dr.Yasmin spoke with us after that and told us that this is not a bad sign... this is a very good sign that that assistant just got we r excellent so she didn't want to waste her and our time in disucussing.... weghat nazar :D.....
we went to the doctor who told us that we have to take the examination in 15 minutes not more... we did it e7l....

now we r preparing for the coming exam... Prolog and Assembly... rabena yostor...

Windows7 adds Math Input Panel

Alsalam alikom wa ra7mat Allah wa barakatoh… I was reading a windows team post about Input Panels improvements in Windows7 [ here ]. When at the end I saw a very interesting –intuitive if you wish- new thing… which is, as you guessed, the Math Input Panel… Yes, that crappy font is mine… I “drew” that by mouse as I don’t have a tablet pen/pc. You can then paste it directly into word and it’ll recognize it as an editable equation… During my tests, the output panel (the top part) hanged, but I liked that the drawing panel was still responsive and I could still write/erase… till the top one started to respond again… One other thing to know, after you click Insert (that button down there) it copies the equation in MathML [ Wikipedia link ] format.. which is a standard way of representing equations and hence any application that recognizes the format can insert it not as an image but as a nice editable equation… If you think it recognized something wrong, you can click “Sele

Visual Studio 2008 Not saving changes or project properties?

Alsalam alikom wa ra7mat Allah wa barakatoh (Peace upon you) I’ve recently ran into problems with VS 2008. Summarized here: When you try to edit the project properties (specially C++ projects) you are faced with a little nice message saying “Exception from HRESULT: 0xF9F0F308”. Sometimes when you are editing a file (specially large ones), VS doesn’t recognize you’ve made changes (ie doesn’t display that ‘*’ in the files tabs) hence, when you save, nothing actually gets saved. For those 2 problems, a friend explained the problem and a work around (till they officially release a fix)… Open up a Visual Studio 2008 Command Prompt Run cd "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0\Common7\IDE" Make a backup copy of devenv.exe in case something does not work right. ie. copy devenv.exe devenv.exe.bak Run editbin /largeaddressaware:no devenv.exe Happy VSing… :)
